Christmas Community Contest
Time span: Friday, 16th of December – Friday, 30th of December

Dear settlers,

Christmas is for spending quality time with family, friends and, of course, your festive "The Settlers Online" community. Come inside from the bitter chill of winter, into the comforting warmth of our Community corner.

Community activities:

• Write a Letter to BB_Santa
  No matter whether you're on BB_Santa's nice or naughty list, for this year's Christmas, you will get a chance to write him a letter and express your most ardent wish. The most convincing and original letters may find themselves rewarded.

• Decorate your Christmas tree
  You're not much of a wordsmith, but you sure know how to capture the festive mood of the winter season? Show us your Christmas Tree or your Christmas Tree TSO decorations and we'll make sure to put a spotlight on the best contributions.
  

General conditions

• Submit your contribution within the community event's time span: Friday, 16th of December – Friday, 30th of December
• You can take part in the contest by completing either of the two activities or both.
• If your contribution is chosen, it will be featured as a Forum Spotlight entry.
• If you choose to submit a photo of your Christmas Tree or craft The Settlers Online decorations, you should include your nickname in the picture. Your nickname must be part of the photo in a physical way.

Formal requirements

• You have one regular game account
• Third-party rights must be respected
• Underage players must get parents' permission to participate
• Your contribution follows the Code of conduct and the PEGI-7 rating
• By entering the contest, participants agree to assign their intellectual property rights to Ubisoft / Blue Byte and permit Ubisoft / Blue Byte to use the participation in any media, including games
• Participants agree that Ubisoft / Blue Byte is allowed to announce the winners and present their rewarded contribution. Real names will not be used for the publication, only nicknames, gameworld and language version. The contribution will be stored on Ubisoft /Blue Byte servers to present the content. Channels that might be used for announcing the winners and for presenting the contributions are international websites, forums, Facebook channels, Instagram and Twitter channels managed by Ubisoft / Blue Byte (especially "The Settlers Online" channels).

For each task there will be 3 ranks, with multiple winners per rank:

Rank 1: 2,000 Gems
Rank 2: 1,000 Gems
Rank 3: 500 Gems

Every player can participate twice: one time per task.
Thus, every player has the chance of winning two times.

Announcement of winners

• The Community Team will continue to judge contributions right through the holiday season, up until the first week of January
• Prizes will be sent to winners' game accounts as soon as possible via in-game message
